Seismic testing video

Rack Technologies has completed an extensive exercise to have our system enclosures seismic tested. Our aim was to partake in a universal test to prove beyond doubt the strength and reliability of our cabinets.

Upon embarking on a search for an available international standard regarding loading and strength, we found out the only standard close to and relevant to this was the Seismic Load Standard to Bellcore’s Generic requirement GR-63-CORE Issue 1 October 1995. This standard was founded in the United States where earthquakes are common and all kind of structures are required to be able to withstand great unstabalizing force.

We have worked in conjunction with industry experts to achieve our aim which has resulted in an impressive conclusion. Rack Technologies cabinets are approved for earthquake risk zone 4.

Although earthquakes are not a major concern in Australia this achievement does however clearly demonstrate the strength and reliability of our cabinets.
